Simple Ways to Strip Body Fat

Is there anyone you know that doesn’t want to lose body fat? If so many people want to shed body fat, why aren’t very many of them actually doing it?

There are many ways to lose the fat, for the sake of time and length of this article I’m going to provide the 4 most basic and simple ways to attack fat loss. Before I elaborate any further, you must become 100% honest with yourself.

I suggest creating a master plan that involves a goal with an end date. If you’re aimlessly throwing yourself in a fat loss plan without a finish line you are bound to struggle to achieve the true results you want.  Remember, you must be extremely clear with what you want or be prepared to struggle without ever being fully satisfied with your results.

Here are four quick questions to ask yourself. (I find you can apply theses questions to anything in life really…)

Are you where you want to be?

If not, what needs to change?
If so, what’s the next goal?
When is the end date?

Ok, lets get to it...

 1)   Pick a plan. Stick with it:

The most common reason people fail? You jump from program to program looking for the “perfect plan” and get ZERO results. Or you put all your faith in supplements (legal or not). You could take the best steroids, you still have to put the work and be disciplined. It’s perfectly fine to want quick results, however real results won’t come quickly.

 2)   Accountability tracking:

Eliminate the guesswork by tracking your macros. It’s extremely easy and can be done by your phone. Keep track until it becomes a habit, once it’s a habit it becomes much easier and is just another part of your day.

 3)   Lift heavy, lift often:

The first thing most people do when they want to drop body fat is start a cardio program or drop the carbs from their diet significantly. Stop doing that… seriously stop it.

Instead of going with that common reaction, try incorporating heavier weights while decreasing the rest periods. Raising the weight on the bar will significantly raise caloric expenditure (AKA help you burn fat around your midsection).

Ignore the “higher reps for toning” bullshit. That is a terrible concept and there is so much data out there to prove otherwise. Train smarter, not harder. The only thing that occurs with higher reps and low weights is you spinning your wheels and eventually burning yourself out with repetitive use injuries ( AKA you become fragile and frail).

 4)   Full body fitness:

If fat loss and muscle retention is your main goal, then aim for full body workouts. These type workouts will help you get a lot done in a little time and allow you to throw around some heavy weight.  Try pairing push/pull movements together as this will give your central nervous system a mini-break when you move to the next movement allowing you to go a little heavier.
